Job description: The Executive Director will have direct P&L responsibilities for the Delta One products within the Equity Product line as well as other index-related products in the Financials Product portfolio (i.e., Commodity Indices, Cryptocurrency, Credit-based, Multi-Asset Class, and other Alternative Investment based indices) and will be responsible for the management and successful execution of the product line strategy based on an expert level of knowledge of the products or functionality.
This role will create and implement strategies for product innovation, pricing, marketing across the product line or functionality. This role will also be responsible for the introduction of new products and services that meet the ever-evolving risk management needs of clients.
Principal Accountabilities:
Applies extensive practitioner-level knowledge of Equity Delta One product, as well as the other index-related products listed above, in terms of functionality and product line when representing CME Group to external audiences (e.g. clients).
Additional knowledge of physical crypto and digital asset products ecosystem desirable.
Develops the strategy and business plans for a product line or for an identifiable functionality across product lines.
Effectively coordinates team efforts to execute on the group’s strategy.
Ensures the strategy aligns with BLM and Financial Products strategy.
Identifies product specific or functionality specific partnerships, alliances and opportunities.
Responsible for product lines or functionalities within the business line and is accountable for their profit and loss.
Works with other business units and functions (e.g. Technology, Clearing, etc.), to implement new products.
Required Experience:
Investment or trading experience in relevant products for a minimum of 10 years, with P&L revenue responsibilities.
Extensive knowledge on the Delta One Product offering, with transactional risk management experience in futures, options, ETFs, OTC Swaps, and cash trading.
Demonstrable experience of interacting with decision makers at client firms.
Ability to bring industry contacts and network to CME to advance business objectives.
Preferred Experience:
Experience managing a product or business line within previous organization.
Demonstrable experience of working across teams to produce high value outcomes.
Additional experience of crypto, multi-asset, and credit products desirable.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, computer science or engineering. Advanced degree preferred.
