Job Description
J.P. Morgan Wealth Management (JPMWM) Risk is the risk oversight function that provides risk guidance and credible challenge to the business at the strategy, portfolio/channel, product and legal entity level as appropriate. JPMWM Risk is seeking a Head of Digital and Product Risk to provide risk management and oversight of digital investment products and services for internal and external clients. This includes providing guidance on activities related to the offer, sale and trading of digital assets for JPMWM and Global Private Bank (GPB), as well as forming an independent and consolidated view of digital risk in coordination with other risk areas including, but not limited to investment, credit, counterparty, liquidity, fraud and operational risk. The Head of Digital and Product Risk is also responsible for the measurement and reporting of digital risk management practices across portfolios and escalation of issues as needed.
Role Outline
Digital risk is the result of unintended consequences that result from digital transformation and disrupt the achievement of business objectives. The Head of Digital and Product Risk will be responsible for collaborating across Risk teams and with product, compliance, technology, and other teams in both the first and second lines of defense to identify and consult on potential and existing digital risks to JPMWM and GPB. The ideal candidate will be a highly-motivated risk or process management professional with excellent process improvement and communication skills, as well as a detailed understanding of broker dealer obligations, investment products and related digital offerings. The candidate will be detail-oriented and results focused, and will have a proven record of problem solving and collaborating with others, including direct and indirect leadership positions.

- Provide effective risk oversight of the business related to any digitally delivered products, processes, and enhancements. The business includes both full service/advised and self-directed investment sales channels.

Responsibilities
- Developing and maintaining digital risk frameworks across full-service and self-directed sales channels, which may include the identification of idiosyncratic digital risks based on platform and/or execution.
- Participating and influencing decision making in management forums and contributing to continuous improvement of risk practices.
- Setting direction and leading cross-functional teams in a matrixed organization.
- Supporting interactions with Internal Audit and Regulatory agencies, as applicable.
- Staying current with the changing regulatory and digital environment and understanding the impacts to current and upcoming efforts.
- Participating in and executing special projects for the team on a periodic basis.
Qualifications
- At least 10 years of risk management, compliance, regulatory, audit, or legal experience or a combination thereof, with knowledge of Private Wealth business and products such as margin, options, and other complex brokerage offerings.
- Understanding of digital risk and impact on other key risk disciplines such as fraud risk.
- Experience with the use of digital assets in the financial sector and associated activities/business risks such as corporate actions, platform issues, self-directed exposures, etc.
- Proven leadership capabilities and effective communication with executive management and key stakeholders across lines of business.
- Knowledge of operational and technology risk management, and control principles.
- Experience building effective working relationships and interacting comfortably with a wide spectrum of internal stakeholders.
- Awareness of risk and regulatory environment for digital assets and cryptocurrency markets
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to be curious and collaborate with high-performing teams and individuals throughout the firm to accomplish common goals.
- Strong qualitative and quantitative analytical skills with ability to synthesize and integrate varied data sets.
- Familiarity with global project planning, gap analysis, agile development, and ability to deliver solutions within a matrix organization.
- Excellent time management to prioritize work, meet tight deadlines, and excel a fast-paced, team environment.
