Paris Saint-Germain coach Christophe Galtier has revealed a close resemblance between forwards Lionel Messi and Neymar.

Galtier said that both Messi and Neymar have a real technical connection.

He said so after both players scored in PSG’s 4-0 Trophy of Champion win over Nantes on Sunday at Bloomfield Stadium in Tel Aviv, Israel.

Messi opened the scoring in the 22nd minute during the encounter while Neymar scored twice – a free kick and a penalty on either side of the half.

Speaking to reporters after the game, Galtier praised Messi and Neymar for their world-class performances.

Galtier said, “Leo [Messi] and Neymar, these are players who have known each other for a few seasons, played together elsewhere and rediscovered each other last year – they have a real technical connection.

“In all modesty, I’m not surprised at what the attackers did with support from the wings and midfield.”
