The Nigerian film industry, popularly known as Nollywood, was plunged into the cold arms of death following the death of veteran actor Samuel Obiago. The talented actor passed away in the early hours of December 23, 2021, three days before Christmas. According to information we have gathered, it has been reported that the talented actor has been suffering from a stroke for some time which was treated but sadly he passed away on Thursday 23rd December 2021 in the early hours at 2am.

Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) President Emeka Rollas confirmed the news of his death on Thursday, saying the iroko had fallen. The actor, popularly known as Daddy Sam by his peers, had a career in banking before quitting banking for acting.
