Job description: This company is seeking a Senior Blockchain Engineer to join an early-stage social discovery company. This is a full-time opportunity with limited in-office requirements in Chicago, IL.
This blockchain startup created an application for users to view, sort, and monetize upcoming trends in audio and visual art. The more that users engage with the application, the more chances they have to earn rewards and drops. As the Senior Blockchain Engineer, you’ll be responsible for maintaining and updating the existing application while also designing and developing new features for this platform built on a mobile blockchain wallet. The ideal candidate would be an expert in React Native and React.js and have meaningful experience in the blockchain industry, ideally working closely with NFTs. Bonus points for those who have experience working in a fast-paced, startup environment. Required Skills & Experience
- 4+ years of React Native experience
- 3+ years of JavaScript development (React.js, Node.js)
- 2+ years of professional experience in the blockchain space
- B.S. or B.A. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, cross-functional startup environment
Desired Skills & Experience
- 2+ years of Solidity experience
- Experience working for a startup writing greenfield code
- Outstanding communication skills
- Extensive knowledge of the cryptocurrency industry and web3
- Passion for continuous learning and career development
