The EquiLend 1Source initiative presents the opportunity to implement new technologies that can allow the securities lending industry to completely reimagine how platforms work and share information, and how true single source of truth data can be experienced.
The Ledger team is a key component in the delivery of the firm’s Distributed Ledger Technology strategy. We are working on a cutting-edge greenfield development to represent Securities Lending contracts and their lifecyle events.
We are a global team spread across London, New York and Europe and now seek a Senior Java Developer to join us as we look to innovate and bring further efficiencies to the Securities Lending space.
In this role you will be developing off-ledger services to help drive our Distributed Ledger services utilising the latest Microservice architectures in Java 17, this project is still at its nascent phase and the successful candidate will get the opportunity to shape the future of Securities Lending in Web3. Role Responsibilities
- Designing and building off-ledger components to support our Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT)built in Canton.
- Deliver complex enterprise solutions with high code standards including unit testing and e2e testing
- Participate in Agile software development projects and tasks include coding, testing, debugging, documentation, peer-review, deploying, monitoring, and support
- Participate in task identification, work effort estimates, and work schedules for development and maintenance activities
- Collaborate with a cross-functional team of developers, project managers, product managers, quality assurance, management and operations
Required Skills
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with core Java 8 (or later versions)
- Experience with modern Microservices framework (such as Quarkus, Vert.x or Micronaut)
- Fluency in SQL and databases
- Strong working knowledge of Cloud based infrastructure (such as AWS/Azure)
- Experience building and using RESTFul APIs and off-ledger components with Microservice frameworks such as Spring boot.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders from different teams
- Excellent problem solving abilities with the ability to break down complex problems into workable solutions
